A Changwon studio devoted to IR chart craft

We prepare the visual layer of investor communications — not software, not advisory opinions on valuation, but the measured charts and annotated spreads that let shareholders read your quarterly story.

Official registered business

Dogwood Way Analytics is the registered business name under which we operate. We were established in 2018 in Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, after founder Jung Sumin spent six years in the IR departments of two Gyeongsang-based manufacturers and saw the same gap repeat each disclosure season: finance teams produced accurate spreadsheets, but the charts reaching shareholders often obscured the very variances analysts asked about.

Origin and early years

The studio began in a single room on Changwon-daero, taking commissions from local suppliers preparing KOSDAQ listings. Early work focused on segment-margin waterfalls and capacity-utilisation panels — chart types that require reconciling operational data with consolidated statements. By 2020, word-of-mouth from listing advisors in Seoul brought commissions from pre-IPO companies and overseas issuers with Korean subsidiaries.

We deliberately remain small. A senior chart specialist and one associate reviewer handle each commission. This keeps source-data reconciliation traceable and prevents the handoff gaps common in larger agencies where the person who audited your trial balance is not the person who draws your final chart.

Expertise and working approach

Our team reads K-IFRS disclosure templates, understands quiet-period constraints, and builds charts that survive both legal review and live Q&A sessions. We work from your spreadsheets — never from estimated figures — and document every axis label against a cell reference you approve.

Visual design follows a brass-instrument aesthetic: high contrast, engraved-style numerals, restrained colour palettes that project clearly in boardrooms and reproduce faithfully in printed annual supplements. The style serves readability, not decoration.

Values

  • Traceability — every data point links to an approved source
  • Restraint — charts show what matters for the narrative, not every column in the workbook
  • Punctuality — disclosure deadlines are fixed; we confirm feasibility before accepting a commission
  • Confidentiality — unreleased figures stay within agreed secure channels

Relationship to clients

Most clients return each quarter. Some engage us only for annual report cycles or roadshow refreshes. We treat IR managers, CFO offices, and listing advisors as collaborators — your legal and finance teams retain final sign-off; we supply the visual layer on schedule.

Location

Our studio is in Changwon. On-site working sessions are available for final review days; most commissions proceed remotely with secure file exchange.
